Dear All on my mailing list,

Just a story from real life:

I had a very interesting experience some time ago when I went home. Among the fellow passengers in the commuter train was a couple, a young man and his rather new and rather pregnant young girlfriend. We started to talk, it turned out she was writing on a master's thesis about gender equality, and since I had spent 7 years as a member of the Karolinska Institute gender equality board, we had a lot to share.

However, after some time, she asked me what my area of interest is, and I told her about EMF health effects, brain and heart tumours as well as genotoxic DNA damage (i.a. from the American National Toxicology Program data), neurological impact, learning and concentration problems, sleep issues, impairment of the immune system, fertility and sperm cell effects, what happens to foetuses' and newly born babies' cardiac activity, the functional impairment electrohypersensitivity, and a lot more. She listened with big eyes and big ears.

Did it end there? No! The very following morning they were on board again. The young man took me aside and told me, in a rather harsh tone, that I was not to upset his girlfriend with all my ''unfounded stories'', since yesterday's 'lecture' had made her think, had made her upset, and now she wanted them to rid themselves of routers, wireless laptops, cell phones, tablets, babyalarms, etc. --- I then told him, as calmly and composed as I ever could, that my work as a governmental scientist was not about protecting him from an upset girlfriend, but to protect him, his girlfriend and there yet unborn child, from health damages of a toxic environment. He went completely silent and went back to his seat.

I do hope that he, in the future, can say that I was completely wrong, and that there was no risk or danger at all from our current EMF-based society. If not, then maybe - in the future - at least he will use a somewhat less harsh voice when addressing members of our common mental fire brigade...even if it would turn out to be a false alarm.

With my very best regards
Yours sincerely
Olle

My comment to Olle:
We all know it was and is not a false alarm|
This alone shows it already:

next to the many other compilations, of course

and his answer:

Thank you for your excellent point, dear Leendert. I have the same observations right in front of me here in Sweden.
