MY BREAST CANCER STORY by Lorraine Michelle Allaway, of South Wales, United Kingdom.

I am going to keep this as short as possible because I just want to warn people and hopefully prevent this happening to anyone else.

In February 2017 I went for my first Mammogram. Shockingly they found a small cancerous lump in my left breast. Thank God for National Health and the Cancer Doctors/Nurses/Staff, who can I say have been absolutely fabulous, and if I could personally Thank each and everyone of them I would with all the love in my heart, I was admitted to hospital within 4 weeks to have the lump removed and also my lymph nodes checked. My surgery was successful, Happy Days!! I do need further treatment, but fortunately, it’s not chemo its radiotherapy, which will kill all the cancerous cells that can not be seen on a scan/xray.

Now you are probably wondering why I am telling you all this?? Well I have a theory on how I got cancer in the first place. A lot of Breast Cancer can be hereditary, but there is no one in my family that we know off, that has ever had it. So how, why did I get it??

Well, for years I have been putting my mobile phone down my bra, because us girls don’t normally have pockets like men, so I found it easy to keep there so I didn’t miss any calls or texts. I have always put it in my left bra down the side. Now the cancerous lump they found was in my left breast on the left side, exactly where my mobile phone would lay. Is this a coincidence? I don’t know, it could be. But I think it is very uncanny that my cancer was in the exact place where my mobile phone would lay, don’t you???

I know there is no proof but we have all heard stories that connects mobile phones to cancer. So I just wanted to share my story and if you are like me, using your bra as a mobile phone storage, then please, please, please STOP, just in case that was the cause of my Breast Cancer.

My last few months have been scarey, horrible, stressful, and very upsetting, and not just for me but also for my family and friends, but I am one of the lucky ones, they found my cancer early.

I know I am not the only one to put their mobile down their bra for safe keeping, are you one of those that do? Then please STOP, I wouldn’t wish this on anyone. I am one of the lucky ones, but my doctor said if it had been another 12 months then, well, it’s not worth thinking about! ! !

I have attached photos of my scars, which fortunately can heal, if these offend anyone, then I am sorry but these scars will remind me of how lucky I have been as I still have my breast, even though it is a bit dented, but it is still there. The underarm scar is where they removed 2 of my lymph nodes, which luckily were clear of cancer.

PLEASE SHARE MY STORY AND SPREAD THE WORD AROUND THE WORLD, IF I CAN PREVENT ONE PERSON FROM GOING THROUGH WHAT I AM GOING THROUGH, THEN I WOULD BE VERY HAPPY.
THANK YOU FOR READING, TAKE CARE AND GOD BLESS
