USA: American Academy of Pediatricians Endorses Cell Phone Safety Legislation

Children, Women More Vulnerable to Cell Phone Radiation

Washington D.C. (December 13, 2012) —
The American Academy of Pediatricians (AAP) which represents “60,000 primary care pediatricians, pediatric medical subspecialists, and pediatric surgical specialists dedicated to the health, safety and well-being of infants, children, adolescents, and young adults” has endorsed H.R. 6358, the Cell Phone Right to Know Act.

waarin H.R. staat voor het ''House of Representatives'' ,
heeft tot doel:

''To examine, label, and communicate adverse human biological effects associated with exposure to electromagnetic fields from cell phones and other wireless devices, and for other purposes.''

Deze vereniging van Amerikaanse kinderartsen, met 60.000 leden, neemt de mogelijke gezondheidsproblemen veroorzaakt door draadloze communicatie dus duidelijk serieus en streeft er onder meer naar mobieltjes, net zoals in Israël, te voorzien van een waarschuwing. Een doelstelling waar onze artsen een voorbeeld aan kunnen nemen.
