Mobile antennae at kindergarten removed
Mobile antennae at Brook farm nursery in Stavanger removed under pressure from the Environment Association. The parents and the Environment Association has meant that the children have been exposed to radiation hazard. Environment Federation have measured the radiation from mobile phone masts, the measurements are later verified by the Post and Telecommunications Authority. When it comes to interpretation of the measurements are different opinions.
Environment Association says there are far too high values, while helsesjefen in Stavanger relies on NRPA's judging that this does not represent any health risk for children and the staff in the nursery.
Parents of children in the Brook farm nursery in Stavanger have expressed harsh criticism against the City of Stavanger, who has not done anything to get Telenor to move the mobile mast. Telenor concedes that mobile mast at Brook farm nursery is unfortunate near the kindergarten, and hope they can calm the situation by to move it. - In this case, we understand that people here understand that the antennas are too close, even if they remain within the limits set by the Norwegian Radiation Protection Authority, says the coverage head of Telenor, Bjørn Amundsen.
Environment Association has an active community group in Stavanger engaged particularly in matters affecting children. It is a paradox that helsesjefen in Stavanger is a defender of wireless networks in classrooms, and mobile towers on or near schools and kindergartens.
