UK: Slecht humeur bij overgeplaatst kantoor.
dinsdag, 23 september 2008 - Dossier: Ervaringen burgers

Verslag van een vrouwelijke kantoormedewerkster die waarneemt hoe het humeur van haar collega's onbewust beïnvloedt wordt nadat de afdeling verhuisd is naar een bestraalde kantoorruimte:

To set the record straight. I am currently working near a mobile phone mast and I know how it affects me but I am not melting. All sorts of people are using this website to discredit it. I get headaches and fuzzy head, feel anxious and get upset easily, but I do not melt.
I will take this opportunity to say a little more on how things have been the last few weeks, as I said I will keep you informed.
A whole department has been relocated and a mobile phone mast can be seen through the window about 100 (?) metres away. (I will measure the distance one of these days)
I have been watching colleagues who are not aware or do not consider themselves to be affected by microwaves.
These are some of the changes and comments:
'I am at the point of sending a career-suicide email';
'I am always fed up and tired';
An email sent to the boss who promptly sent it to everybody read:
'In view of how unhappy everyone is we need a meeting, computers ...........';
'I seem to have stomach ache all the time and I am losing weight...... I just feel permanently ill.....;
After spending most of the day in the office on Friday I had a miserable weekend (me).
So far I managed to keep out of the office a considerable part of the day. In not wishing to give my job away luckily it is possible to do so and still work. The people who were in that department previously were reknown for their lack of co-operation and bad temper - (so we are told)
Did you know that there will be a programme about bad temper - they noticed how it has increased - on the BBC on Tues at 9pm (not sure which station). It will be interesting to see what they say the reason is.
