Brussel: 16-17 nov, International Scientific Conference on EMF and Health. Commentaren. Gerelateerd artikel: Berichten%20Nederland/6222 2011 International Scientific Conference on EMF and Health Op woensdag 16 November en donderdag 17 November 2011 organiseert de Europese Commissie in samenwerking met SCENIHR (Scientific Committee on Emerging and Newly Identified Health Risks ) en het Directoraat Generaal Gezondheid en Consumentenbelangen in het Karel de Grote Gebouw (Charlemagne Building) te Brussel een internationale conferentie over Elektromagnetische Velden en gezondheid. Inmiddels is het programma met sprekers bekend, zie: www.onetec.be/EMF2011/programme.html . Opmerkelijk dat ook de omstreden psycholoog Rubin aan het woord gelaten wordt. SCENIHR heeft evenwel al eerder het vertrouwen van stralingsslachtoffers geschaad, zie ons commentaar bij Onderzoeken/3313 Uit de USA komt van Cindy Sage (Bio-Initiative Report) het volgende commentaar: A look at the participants does not give confidence about the impartiality of presentations. Overall conclusions are likely to be ''there is no scientific certainty'' or ''we don't know mechanisms'' or ''more research is needed before taking any actions''. The public will dismiss such results - and simply say that DC Sanco has failed to gather the right expertise to comment, and the conclusions are predictable given the inputs. Where is the EEA in this gathering? They have done much credible analysis of the relevant issues, and should be at the table. Onze Franse correspondent voegt hieraan toe: Emilie Van Deventer used to be Mike Repacholi'assistant and is a well known supporter of the industry; she's currently associated with P. Vecchia as a consultant to develop a whole phone mast infrastructure in Africa. Isabelle Lagroye works in PIOM, Bernard Veyret's laboratory. Bernard Veyret is a French member of ICNIRP and belongs also to Bouygues Telecom's scientific council. Along with Ms Lagroye they were targetted in a french official report for vested interest... Hope this helps, I'm quite convinced this meeting is an anti WHO 2B classification...I believe we're going to hear a lot about the ''sources of uncertainty'' and ''knowledge gaps''. The objective: to preserve at all costs the completely obselete (but so convenient to the industry) ICNIRP's ''safety guidelines''. Ook onze Belgische collega's hebben zo hun bedenkingen: Jorgen Bach Andersen, Aalborg University Denemarken wordt lokaal als volledig incompetent aanzien in het domein van de biologische effecten van EMF. De research van deze 70 jarige uitgenodigde spreker wordt hoogst waarschijnlijk gefinancierd door de telecom industrie. Hij staat gekend voor het minimaliseren van de gezondheidsrisico's. Hij heeft de rapporten opgesteld voor de Deense overheid, dit tijdens de 3G licentieverkoop aan de telecom industrie in Denemarken waarbij hij poneerde dat er absoluut geen gezondheidsrisico's gevonden werden.
