While studies have shown that cell phones are safe, Dr. Oz doesn’t feel that cell phones have been used enough to truly determine their safety yet. The concern is the radiation that is given off by cell phones. Cell phones emit radiation and some research has shown that brain cells are affected by the use of cell phones. At the same, time there has been other research saying that they are safe. Dr. Oz is stopping by the Oprah TV show every so often to answer our medical questions. Dr. Oz is a co-author with Michael F. Roizen of top selling series of books about health including, ''You: On A Diet: The Owner's Manual for Waist Management”, and, ''YOU: The Owner's Manual: An Insider's Guide to the Body that Will Make You Healthier and Younger.'' Dr. Oz recommends limiting your cell phone usage and using a regular telephone line if possible. If you can’t avoid using a cell phone, try to keep the phone away from your ear by using the speakerphone function. He is not sure if using a Bluetooth headset would be any safer as these too could possibly be emitting some frequency. Surprisingly, Oprah said that she did not own a cell phone. Something that wasn’t discussed on the show was the recent news of cell phones causing the bees to die off.
